Trusts & Estates Attorney (5+ Years)

Position Details

Wyrick Robbins is seeking an attorney with 5+ years of relevant law firm experience on estate and wealth planning and estate administration matters to join its growing Trusts & Estates practice. The Trusts & Estates team has particular expertise in situations involving complex assets, transactions, and family relationships, and the North Carolina State Bar has certified all the partners in the group as specialists in Estate Planning and Probate Law. The firm has a collegial office environment with leading practitioners on sophisticated matters at a regional, national and even international level. As a part of a large, successful corporate law firm, the Trusts & Estates practice group’s access to the resources of the firm’s Corporate, Tax, and Family Law practice groups has proven to be invaluable in achieving clients’ goals.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate ambition and initiative and should have relevant law firm experience to assist clients with a full range of estate, wealth planning, and probate services, including:

  • designing and implementing strategies to transfer wealth in the most tax-efficient manner;
  • assisting closely-held business owners with succession planning and asset protection;
  • creating estate plans, from simple to complex, for each client’s unique needs and goals, often involving multi-generational planning;
  • representing executors, administrators, and trustees in probate, estate, and trust administration;
  • representing clients in contentious situations, including trust modification, will contests, and family settlement agreements; and
  • advising on charitable planning and creating private foundations.

NC Bar admission (or ability to waive in) preferred. Outstanding undergraduate and law school academics.  Excellent written, analytical and verbal skills required.
