Richard A. Rogers, Jr., of Wyrick Robbins’ Executive Compensation practice group, has released a Client Alert, providing insight into Section 409A of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. The Alert reviews a recent Notice issued by the Internal Revenue Service which delays for twelve months the deadline for companies to document their deferred compensation agreements. However, the Alert cautions against a false sense of security and provides a list of recommended actions that CFOs and other interested parties should take during the current calendar year.
