Wyrick Robbins is pleased to congratulate family law practice group leader Heidi Bloom on receiving the North Carolina Bar Association’s Distinguished Service Award in the area of family law. The statewide award, recognizing extraordinary service above and beyond the job well done, was voted on by her peers and presented on April 30 in conjunction with the section’s annual meeting.
Heidi’s practice is dedicated exclusively to family law and includes all aspects of domestic litigation as well as mediation and arbitration. Heidi is a North Carolina Board Certified Family Law Specialist and a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She has a long history of service to the field of family law, having been Chair of the North Carolina Bar Association Family Law Council, a past editor of the Family Law Forum, a member and past chair of the Family Law CLE committee, and both a regular course planner and a speaker for a number of family law CLEs. She was part of an eleven-member committee that helped write the local rules of practice for Wake County Family Court, which were implemented in 2010; she sat on the Wake County Bar Association Grievance Committee and Board of Directors; and is now a State Bar Councilor for the 10th Judicial District.
