DeFrank Publishes Article on the Telephone Consumer Protection Act
Wednesday, April 2, 2014
Mike DeFrank, a Partner in our Commercial Litigation Group, recently published an article (see link above) discussing the recent changes to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“TCPA”) in the North Carolina Bar Association Antitrust and Complex Business Disputes e-newsletter. The TCPA places restrictions on telephone calls and texts from businesses to cellular phones, along with calls to residential phones and sending faxes. TCPA lawsuits have increased dramatically in recent years. Mike’s article provides businesses with an analysis of recent developments and ways to minimize liability for TCPA claims.
