Charn is a trial attorney whose practice focuses on representing clients in complex litigation in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels, and in arbitration and mediation. His experience includes the representation of clients in disputes involving breach of contract, business torts, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and products liability. Charn has represented clients that are regional, national, and international in size, and in various industries, including consumer products, healthcare, information technology, automobile manufacturing and retail, commercial and residential real estate, financial services, pharmaceutical and medical device, tobacco, and restaurant franchises, to name just a few. His clients look to him, not only as a zealous advocate, but also as a trusted counselor and advisor.
Charn received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, with a major in Public Policy Studies, a minor in Economics, and a certificate in Markets & Management Studies. He received his law degree from Cornell Law School. While at Cornell, Charn studied abroad in France, attending the Université de Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne and receiving intensive instruction in international and comparative law. He is admitted to practice in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, including all federal courts in each jurisdiction.
Charn began his career as a Process Analyst in the Financial Services division of Accenture LLP and, following law school, practiced in the Philadelphia offices of Reed Smith, LLP and DLA Piper US LLP, representing international pharmaceutical manufacturers in products liability lawsuits alleging catastrophic injuries and death from the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and prescription weight-loss medication. Immediately prior to joining the firm, Charn was a partner in the Greensboro office of Brooks Pierce, LLP.
