David is a member of the firm’s M&A and capital markets practice groups. He advises public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, securities law, corporate governance and general business matters. David has experience in representing businesses in a range of industries, including software and technology, life sciences, healthcare, and government contracting. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, David practiced in the Raleigh office of Hunton & Williams LLP.
David received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Duke University and his J.D., cum laude, from New York University School of Law. Before transferring to NYU, he attended Harvard Law School where he was an editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy. Prior to law school, David served as a legislative assistant in the office of U.S. Congressman Ernie Fletcher.
