Jim is a corporate attorney practicing in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Emerging Growth Companies practice groups. His practice focuses on a variety of areas, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, private equity, venture capital and general corporate law.
Jim received his J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law. During law school, he served as an articles editor and staff member for the North Carolina Law Review. Jim also received his B.A. in History from Duke University, where he competed for four years as a member of the varsity men’s lacrosse team. Prior to joining the firm, Jim was an associate in the Private Equity and Securities & Public Companies practice groups of Ropes & Gray LLP in Boston.
Jim is admitted to practice in Massachusetts. He is not currently licensed in North Carolina.
