Bio

Dan serves as counsel and advisor to executives and investors in the technology, consumer goods, life sciences, energy, and financial services industries. He also works with investment funds, advising general partners in fund administration and formation as well as purchasers and sellers in secondary market transactions.  Prior to joining Wyrick, Dan worked as a director of business development and in sales management positions at a software company and in management consulting. Dan previously taught the corporate contract drafting class at UNC School of Law.

Dan received his B.A., M.B.A., and J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  During graduate school, Dan served as Editor in Chief of the North Carolina Banking Institute, co-founded the Transactional and Corporate Law Association, and was a teaching assistant in the strategy department at UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.

  • Served as counsel to buyer, sellers, and sponsors in investment fund secondary market transactions.
  • Served as counsel to channel management SaaS company in multiple acquisitions and equity financing rounds.
  • Served as counsel to fintech (banking software) company in $30 million Series B financing and related follow-on financings.
  • Served as counsel to biotherapeutics company in multiple equity financing rounds.
