Bio

Kori practice focuses on representation, primarily for clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries, in a broad range of commercial contracts and licensing, intellectual property, technology-, and product-related transactions.  Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the Office of Research Contracts at Duke University, where she negotiated a wide range of agreements supporting Duke’s research activities and served as the dedicated attorney for the Duke Molecular Physiology Institute’s research-related contracts.

Kori received her B.S. in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry with a minor in Microbiology and M.S. in Biological Sciences from Michigan Technological University and earned a Ph.D. in Pathobiology and Molecular Medicine from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine.  She earned her J.D., with honors, from North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she served on the Editorial Board of the Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Law Review.
