Bio
Terry has more than 11 years’ experience exclusively in family law. She uses her considerable experience and excellent interpersonal skills to help families in transition by providing detailed support to attorneys and clients. From complex litigation cases to simple uncontested matters, she is involved from beginning to end. Terry assists clients by providing regular contact and updates, managing financial disclosures/discovery that clients sometimes find overwhelming, maintains case calendars and deadlines, drafts pleadings and agreements, schedules mediations/court hearings and trials, and is mindful of cost-efficient case management procedures. Terry is integral in preparation for mediations, hearings, and trials.
Terry presents a calm, helpful, and supportive demeanor as she handles the variety of emotional needs of clients involved in family law cases. She offers a common sense, compassionate approach in client interaction, which helps diffuse or deescalate the emotional terrain of child custody, separation, and divorce.
Prior to moving to North Carolina in 2008, Terry worked with law firms in Ohio where she assisted in commercial and civil litigation, insurance defense, personal injury, and appellate practice.
Terry is currently in the process of obtaining paralegal certification through the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA).
