Commercial Litigation Attorney (1-3 years)

Position Details

Wyrick Robbins is seeking a highly motivated associate with 1–3 years of experience (counting judicial clerkship experience) to join our Commercial Litigation practice group.

Our commercial litigation team represents clients in a wide range of complex disputes in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration and other alternative dispute forums. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, business-focused team where associates take on meaningful responsibility early and work directly with clients.

Associates in this role will have the opportunity to:

  • Handle a broad range of business-related disputes, including contract, fiduciary, shareholder, and other complex commercial controversies
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Participate in discovery, including written discovery, document review, and depositions
  • Assist with and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Work closely with partners and clients to develop case strategy and deliver practical, business-oriented solutions

The group has a strong clerkship tradition, with more than half of its associates having served as federal judicial law clerks.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong academic credentials and legal writing skills
  • Experience with legal research, drafting, and discovery processes
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Licensed to practice in North Carolina or eligible for prompt admission
