Elizabeth Johnson Recognized for Excellence in Client Service

Privacy & Data Security partner Elizabeth Johnson has been named by corporate counsel to the BTI Client Service All-Stars 2022. Touted as the most meaningful ranking for legal service providers, the only way to be named a Client Service All-Star is through recognition by a top legal decision-maker.

For more than two decades, BTI has funded the research and produced the report used to identify Client Service All-Stars based on data collected from their ongoing Annual Survey of General Counsel. The process includes hundreds of in-depth interviews with legal decision-makers at organizations with at least $700 million in annual revenue and representing a broad range of industries including banking, healthcare, retail, tech, and more.

Of her approach to client service, Elizabeth says, “I try to take a solutions-oriented view to client requests, which means it’s important to focus on clear communication about risks and benefits. I also try to be proactive about helping clients to define their goals and developing responsive, practical outputs. That approach allows me to deliver value without sacrificing efficiency.”

Elizabeth’s practice addresses all aspects of U.S. privacy and data security law, as well as GDPR and international data transfer mechanisms. She enjoys helping clients with compliance initiatives to address privacy and data security and has assisted with a wide variety of implementation projects including consumer preference centers, health-focused initiatives including telehealth and health information exchanges, mobile applications ranging from wellness programs to Ecommerce to gaming, sensitive personal data processing such as precise location tracking and biometric authentication, and complex customer insights initiatives including fraud prevention. Elizabeth also supports all aspects of data breach preparation and response, including leading forensic investigations, advising on ransomware response, supporting notification to affected parties, coordinating with law enforcement, and handling government agency notifications and inquiries.
