Heidi Bloom Recognized for NCBA Service

On Friday, May 3, Family Law partner Heidi Bloom was recognized for her service as the 2018-2019 Chair of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. Heidi previously served as Vice-Chair, CLE Committee Chair, and Council Member. The Family Law Section has over 1,300 members and as Chair, Heidi shepherded through several important pieces of family law legislation; built on relationships with other Sections of the bar; and made well-received changes to operations of the Section.  In addition, she serves on a joint liaison task force between the NCBA and the North Carolina State Bar, focusing on areas in which the two organizations have synergy and common goals, including professionalism and lawyer education. 

About the NCBA Family Law Section
The Family Law Section provides information on legal and policy developments relating to children and families. The section also sponsors CLE programs on equitable distribution and an intensive seminar in family law in alternate years, thereby furthering the knowledge of its members in all matters relating to family law. The section provides members with a substantive newsletter and helps mold the association’s legislative agenda for presentation to the General Assembly.
