Wyrick Robbins announces today that partner Mike DeFrank will serve as Chair of the U.S. Leadership Committee for Meritas, the premier global alliance of independent law firms. Meritas’ market-leading member firms offer a full range of legal services, enabling clients to do business anywhere. Under Mike’s leadership, the Committee will focus on ensuring that member firms in the United States continue to fully leverage the benefits of this worldwide network and draw on firms’ collective strengths and talents to provide excellent legal services to clients who utilize Meritas.
Mike has been a longtime leader in the Meritas network, having served the organization in several capacities since Wyrick Robbins became a Meritas member in 2013. Most recently, he served as a member of the Meritas Global Board of Directors and Member Engagement Committee.
“Mike has been an active, enthusiastic, and respected member of the U.S. Leadership Committee, and he has a deep understanding of Meritas and its mission,” says Kathy Butler, outgoing U.S. Leadership Committee Chair. “His energy and commitment to Meritas and the U.S. Region made him the perfect choice to lead the U.S. Leadership Committee.”
Meritas, established in 1990, is a global alliance of independent, full-service law firms with the highest quality standards for membership in the industry. Over the years, Meritas has carefully vetted and invited select, like-minded firms to join the non-profit alliance for mutual benefit.
