Wyrick Robbins is pleased to share that Todd Eveson is featured in Carolina Law magazine’s article highlighting the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal’s 30th anniversary, marking the publication’s growth into a nationally recognized resource reaching approximately 300 law schools, law firms, and financial institutions nationwide.
Published by the UNC School of Law’s Center for Banking and Finance, the journal was founded in 1997 and has tracked significant developments in U.S. banking law, including industry consolidation and the expansion of financial services. It is produced in connection with the annual Banking Institute, a continuing legal education program that brings together practitioners, regulators, and academics to discuss emerging issues in the financial sector.
Todd, who served as editor-in-chief of Volume 4, is highlighted for his early involvement with the journal. During that time, the publication operated with limited resources, and its student editors worked to enhance its infrastructure and operations, helping position it for long-term growth.
His experience with the Banking Institute also helped shape his career in banking law. After graduating from UNC School of Law, Todd joined a banking law practice that later became part of Wyrick Robbins, where he advises financial institutions and companies on capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, and regulatory matters.
Now in its fourth decade, the North Carolina Banking Institute Journal continues to serve as a platform for scholarship and professional engagement while supporting students through its editorial program and industry-sponsored scholarships. The publication remains focused on evolving topics in banking law, including financial innovation, regulatory change, and emerging market developments.
