Wyrick Robbins is pleased to announce that longtime leader of the firm’s Banking & Financial Institutions practice, Todd Eveson, has been named Managing Partner. Todd succeeds Jimmy Yates, who served as Managing Partner of the firm from 1989 through 2021. On his new role as Managing Partner, Todd shared “The thing that really differentiates our firm is our alignment on culture and our shared vision. It’s a powerful thing, honestly. We have such talented and capable professionals at our firm – both lawyers and professional staff. These are people for whom I have tremendous respect and with whom I am energized to collaborate on a day-to-day basis. Add into the mix some of the most exciting clients in the Carolinas and across the nation, and there is nowhere else I would rather work.”
Of the transition, Jimmy said, “Having served with Todd on our Executive Committee for many years and having spent the last 12 months carefully coordinating this transition, we are pleased to now formally make this announcement.” He added that “Todd emerged as a natural fit for the role. He is steeped in our firm’s culture and tradition of collegiality but also focused on the ways in which the practice of law is evolving. He will undoubtedly continue to prioritize the commitment to exceptional client service and our practical approach to problem-solving that have always been hallmarks of our firm.”
The transition in leadership comes as Wyrick Robbins enters its 44th year based in the Triangle market and continues to grow, recruiting exceptional attorneys across a range of sophisticated practice areas. Both Jimmy Yates and Todd Eveson will continue to practice law as partners in the firm’s corporate practice.
