Wyrick Robbins closes homes for Habitat for Humanity

Press Releases

The Wyrick Robbins Real Estate Department recently dedicated almost 100 hours of pro bono time to the preparation and documentation of the closings on four houses belonging to Habitat for Humanity of Wake County, Inc., which were being purchased by homeowners chosen and approved by Habitat for Humanity. The Wake County Habitat organization is the 16th largest in the country and plans to build and deliver for occupancy in excess of 50 houses during the fiscal year 2005-2006. Participating in this involvement for the firm were Jeff Johnson, Don Merritt, Lisa Rhodes and Linda Blackwell. In addition, Winston Sutton, a student in the paralegal program at Meredith College in Raleigh was performing an internship at Wyrick Robbins simultaneously with this project and received valuable on-the-job training while providing paralegal support for the transactions.
