RALEIGH, NC—Wyrick Robbins is pleased to announce that the following four attorneys have been elected to partnership in the firm, effective January 1, 2013:
Zachary R. Bishop concentrates in technology and corporate transactions, which includes the licensing and distribution of intellectual property, business process and information technology outsourcing, technology acquisition and development, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and general corporate matters. Prior to joining the firm in 2009, Zach practiced in the Raleigh office of Hunton & Williams LLP and the Atlanta office of Alston & Bird LLP. Zach received his B.A. in Economics from Duke University and received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Tulane University Law School.
David A. Burns concentrates in wealth transfer and estate tax planning, estate and trust administration, and asset protection. David is certified as a Specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, David practiced in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. David received his J.D., summa cum laude, from Albany Law School of Union University, his M.B.A., with honors, from The College of Saint Rose, and his B.A. in political science from Geneseo State University of New York.
Amy E. Davis concentrates in corporate transactions, representing corporate and private equity clients in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, and general business matters. Prior to joining the firm in 2010, she practiced in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and the Chicago office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Amy received her J.D. and Master of Laws degrees with honors from Duke University, and her B.A., magna cum laude, in International Relations from Lehigh University.
David N. Jonson concentrates in securities law. He represents broker-dealers, investment advisers, and financial service providers in numerous aspects of federal, state, and FINRA regulatory compliance and defense. Prior to joining the firm in 2011, David was a partner in the Raleigh office of K&L Gates LLP. He has also served as Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Securities Commissioner for the State of South Carolina and was licensed as a Series 7 and 63 registered representative of a large broker-dealer firm. David received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Washington & Lee University.
