Wyrick Robbins Launches Inaugural Week of Service
Wyrick Robbins is pleased to announce its inaugural Week of Service, beginning May 20, bringing together a series of pro bono and community service opportunities for attorneys, paralegals, and professional staff. Organized by the firm’s Community Engagement Committee, the initiative reflects an ongoing commitment to supporting the communities in which the firm lives and works.
The Week of Service will include a mix of in-office pro bono clinics and local volunteer opportunities in partnership with community organizations across Raleigh. Volunteers will assist with criminal records expunction matters through Legal Aid of North Carolina and participate in a Driver’s License Restoration Project clinic in collaboration with the North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center. These clinics aim to help individuals address legal barriers that can affect employment, housing, and financial stability.
In addition to pro bono legal services, firm members will take part in community-based volunteer efforts throughout the week. Activities include a firmwide toiletry and hygiene product drive benefiting The Women’s Center of Wake County, which provides shelter and support services for women and families experiencing homelessness, and a volunteer workday at Raleigh City Farm, a nonprofit urban farm focused on fighting food insecurity and promoting regenerative agriculture to strengthen local food ecosystems.
The Week of Service is coordinated by Wyrick Robbins’ Community Engagement Committee, which works to connect attorneys and professional staff with opportunities to give back through pro bono service, nonprofit partnerships, and volunteer initiatives. By bringing these efforts together in a dedicated week, the firm aims to expand participation and deepen its engagement with our communities.
