RALEIGH, NC—Wyrick Robbins is pleased to announce the launch of a wellness program to encourage healthy lifestyles of the firm’s attorneys and professional staff.
“The Wyrick Robbins Challenge—Stepping Up for Fitness” includes a six month program in which attorneys and staff can earn points for prizes by participating in various sporting and fitness activities, eating a well-balanced diet, and making healthy lifestyle choices. In addition, the program provides biometric screenings, health assessments, individual health coaching, an expanded gym membership allowance, and the opportunity for full-time staff to exercise for up to 2.5 hours during paid work time each week of the program.
The program was unveiled at a wellness luncheon on March 31, and will officially begin on April 12, 2011. Pete Thomas, of NBC’s The Biggest Loser, gave an inspiring presentation to encourage the firm’s attorneys and staff to get involved for the benefit of their own health and wellness goals.
“Firm-wide health and well-being are a priority. We want to be more proactive and supportive by providing the education, time, and incentives to drive participation by all,” says firm Managing PartnerJimmy Yates.
At the conclusion of the challenge, the firm will make a donation to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina of $3 per pound for the first 750 pounds lost, and $5 per pound for each additional pound lost.
