Devon E. White
Bio
Devon leads the firm’s IP Prosecution & Protection practice group. Her practice focuses on domestic and international trademark protection and branding strategies. She has been ranked in the Top Individual filers in the US as compiled by Corsearch (a Wolters Kluwer business) based on the total number of filings in 2015, 2016, and 2017. Devon has experience in a broad range of fields, including software and e-commerce, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, cosmetics, specialty food and beverage, fitness, nutrition, education, higher education and athletics, publishing and the arts. A significant portion of Devon’s practice involves the handling of trademark disputes and oppositions and cancellations before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Devon is an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law where she teaches trademark law and supervises the UNC School of Law IP Clinic.
Devon received her B.A. and M.A. with honors in English from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington. She earned her J.D. with honors from the North Carolina Central University School of Law.
Prior to attending law school Devon taught in the English Department at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.
