Bio

Kennedy is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Government Contracting practice groups. She represents both businesses and individuals in various industries before state and federal courts and arbitration tribunals. Kennedy is a member of the firm’s recruiting and summer associate committee.

As part of the Commercial Litigation group, her practice includes representing clients in commercial contract and business tort disputes, and advising clients facing issues involving employment, real property, and municipal law. She represents clients in the financial services industry, such as banks, credit card companies, and other financial institutions and related entities, involving claims arising under state and federal consumer protection statutes.  As a member of the Government Contracting group, she represents and advises clients regarding bid protests, contract disputes, and compliance matters involving the FAR/DFARS, Small Business Association Programs, and supply chain risk management.

Kennedy graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law. She received her B.A. in English Literature and Secondary Education with high distinction from Lincoln Memorial University. During law school, Kennedy served as a Staff Member on the First Amendment Law Review journal and as an Enrichment Group Leader.

Kennedy is admitted to practice before the state courts of North Carolina, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of North Carolina.
