Kurt is a member of the firm’s M&A and Commercial Real Estate groups and focuses his practice on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, business transactions, corporate financings, commercial contracts, real estate acquisition and development, and commercial leasing transactions.  He advises clients as outside corporate counsel on matters such as business acquisitions, corporate governance and compliance issues, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, financing transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, mixed-use developments, company policies, employee matters, and shareholder issues.
Kurt typically works directly with a client’s board of directors and executive officers on such issues, providing both legal and general business advice. Kurt represents clients throughout many industries including automotive, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate development, technology, retail, and hospitality.
Kurt received his A.B. from the University of Michigan and his J.D, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law. He recently served as a Board Member for the Cary Chamber of Commerce and has been named to Best Lawyers for Real Estate Law and the Business North Carolina Magazine Legal Elite: Real Estate.
