Lori’s practice focuses on environmental & regulatory law. For over three decades, Lori has guided clients with permitting and compliance in a broad array of industries, including agriculture, automotive, energy, health care and life science, financial institutions, manufacturing, aggregate and mining, petroleum and c-stores, and new generation tobacco products. She has obtained successful outcomes in enforcement cases, including administrative litigation and negotiation of consent orders with EPA and state agencies.
Lori’s practice includes providing due diligence and transactional support in connection with real estate development transactions and mergers and acquisitions. She also has experience in remediation alternatives, Brownfields Redevelopment, and wetland mitigation.
Lori has represented potentially responsible parties identified under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (“CERCLA”), and assisted clients in the classification and handling of hazardous wastes under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (“RCRA”). Her experience with Clean Water Act matters includes NPDES permits, wastewater treatment plants, POTW discharges, and PFAS. Lori has also handled matters involving the Toxic Substances Control Act (“TSCA”), the Federal Insecticide, and Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (“FIFRA”).
Lori earned her B.A. and J.D. from Wake Forest University. Her legal career began in commercial litigation before transitioning to focus on environmental and regulatory matters. Prior to joining the firm, Lori was a partner at international and national law firms.
