Matt is a member of the firm’s Emerging Companies & Venture Capital and M&A practice groups. His practice focuses on a broad range of corporate legal matters, including venture financing, corporate restructurings, entity formation, mergers, stock and asset acquisitions (buy-side and sell-side), commercial contract drafting and negotiations, and other general business matters. Additionally, Matt’s practice includes regulatory and compliance matters focusing on export controls, sanctions, and CFIUS-related foreign investment issues.  

Matt has experience representing companies and individuals in a variety of industries, including commercial real estate, healthcare, medical devices, shipping, software and technology, manufacturing, and personal services companies.

Matt earned his J.D./MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned his undergraduate degree in Government and International Politics from George Mason University.
