Bio
Matt Higgins is a member of the firm’s M&A practice group. He has experience representing corporate and private equity clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and financing transactions in a wide range of industries, including transportation and logistics, manufacturing, technology, professional services, government contracting, and waste management.
Matt received his J.D., with high honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Matt served as a staff member and articles editor of the North Carolina Law Review. He earned his B.A. in Economics with a second major in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

- Represented leading healthcare philanthropy consulting group in its acquisition by a private equity firm.
- Represented Globus Medical (NYSE: GMED) in its $250 million acquisition of Nevro Corp, a global medical device company delivering comprehensive solutions for the treatment of chronic pain.
- Represented leading North American waste and environmental services company in its expansion into new markets through acquisition of large waste services company subsidiary and assets.
- Represented textile recycling and distribution company in acquisition of industry-leading grader and exporter of used clothing.
- Represented provider of population health analytics platform in business combination with provider of medical management platform.
- Represented leading provider of simulation-based learning, intelligence and compliance solutions for life sciences in its sale to NASDAQ-listed provider of modeling and simulation software and services for pharmaceutical safety and efficacy.
