Wyrick Robbins Managing Partner Elected Board Chair of Triangle Area American Red Cross Chapter
Wyrick Robbins is pleased to announce that its Managing Partner, Jimmy Yates, has been elected Board Chair of the Triangle Area American Red Cross Chapter.
As the Board Chair, Jimmy will serve as the senior volunteer leader, guiding the local chapter in governance, stewardship, and fundraising. The Triangle Area Chapter Board consists of 42 members, offering diverse skill sets, business expertise, and years of service to the community.
“We are fortunate to have Jimmy serving as a passionate and committed volunteer to lead our local chapter as the Board Chair for fiscal year 2011,” says Barry Porter, Regional Executive Director for the American Red Cross. “As a grass roots organization, the American Red Cross, which has both a national and international mission, relies heavily on community leaders that understand, embrace, and help showcase that mission to the public.”
A strong advocate of community involvement, Jimmy has been involved with the Red Cross for the last six years. He previously served as Chairman of the Governance Committee, Board Treasurer, Finance Chair, and as a member of the Board of Directors’ Executive Committee.
